SAN FRANCISCO MOTORCYCLE RENTALS

The above rates DOES NOT include sales tax or insurance coverage. Sales tax is calculated at 8.5% of the rental total. There are two insurance options: $15 per day for “Basic Coverage” or $35 per day for “Collision Damage Waver”.

Rental Policy

The availability of our fleet is based on a first come first served basis. During the summer months we frequently rent all bikes in our fleet. Unlike our competitors, we are willing to “lock in” the bike of your choice if it is available and not already reserved. To “lock in” the bike of your choice, an immediate non refundable 20% deposit must be made at the time or your reservation and the total rental fee must be paid in full 30 days before your pickup date. If you are flexible with which motorcycle you receive but want to guarantee a motorcycle will be available when you arrive, a non refundable 20% deposit is required when placing a reservation. Please call to check the availability of the motorcycle you prefer.

Motorcycles or scooters are rented for a 24 hour period. All bikes must be returned within 24 hours from the original pickup time. If you keep the bike longer than 24 hours, by law we have to charge for an additional day of insurance. Additional hours are also charged at $25.00 per hour up to the cost of an additional day. If you want to keep a bike longer than your original reservation, please check with us to make sure the bike is not needed for our next client.

All confirmed rental reservations are NON REFUNDABLE. However, a Thunder Road rain check good for the confirmed rental reservation amount and valid for 2 years will be provided to clients who cancel a reservation.

Rental Requirements

Minimum age: 21 years.

Valid Driver's License with motorcycle endorsement from country or state of permanent residence.

At least 2 years of RECENT (within the last 5 y ears) motorcycle riding experience with motorcycles 400 cc’s or larger

Major Credit Card for Deposit. We accept MC, Visa, American Express, Diners, and Discover

Insurance & Deposit Options

Basic Coverage - $15 per Day

Provides coverage for basic liability insurance only. Does not include comprehensive damage caused by accident, collision, vandalism, or theft.

The renter is responsible for complete reimbursement for the total costs to repair and or replace the motorcycle or scooter.

The required Security Deposit is $4,000.00

Collision Damage Waiver - $35 Day

Provides coverage for basic liability insurance plus collision coverage and comprehensive damage caused by accidental dropping of motorcycle, vandalism or theft.

The deductible is $0.00 in the event of a collision with another vehicle if the collision is the other drivers fault. (A police report is required) The deductible is $2,500 if there is a collision with another vehicle and the collision is the renters fault.The deductible is also $2,500.00 in the event of a comprehensive claim. An example of a comprehensive claim is if the renter accidentally drops the motorcycle or if the motorcycle is stolen etc.

The required Security Deposit is lowered to $2,500.00

Substitutions

We will do our best to provide you with the model and color motorcycle you've requested. At times, due to unforeseen circumstances we may need to change the model or color you were originally assigned. If a model is to be exchanged we will make reasonable effort to notify you prior to your rental pickup day.
